NicheOracle ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide when using our services at nicheoracle.polsia.app.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and a hashed password. We do not store your plain-text password.
Contact Information: If you provide a phone number at checkout, we store it for account management and, if you opt in, for marketing communications.
Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. We store only a Stripe session identifier to verify your subscription.
Usage Data: We store your conversation history (questions and Oracle responses) in our database so you can access them later. This data is tied to your account.
Cookies: We use a single session cookie (httpOnly, secure) to keep you logged in for up to 30 days. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Analytics: We use a lightweight analytics beacon (provided by Polsia) that records anonymous visitor IDs and page views. No personally identifiable information is included in these beacons.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide access to NicheOracle's AI research services
- To process and verify your subscription payments
- To store and retrieve your conversation history
- To send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, trial reminders)
- To send marketing emails and SMS only if you explicitly opted in at checkout
- To improve our service and diagnose technical issues
3. Marketing Communications
We only send marketing emails or SMS messages if you checked the optional marketing consent box during checkout. Each marketing message includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" or emailing us at support@nicheoracle.com.
We comply with CAN-SPAM (email) and TCPA (SMS) requirements. We do not share your contact information with third-party marketers.
4. Third-Party Services
Stripe: Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you complete a purchase, you are interacting with Stripe's checkout. Their privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
Polsia Platform: NicheOracle is built on the Polsia infrastructure platform. Polsia may have access to application logs and anonymous analytics. Polsia does not use your data for purposes outside of operating this service.
AI Provider: Your messages to the Oracle are processed by an AI language model to generate responses. Message content may be transmitted to the AI provider's API. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Conversation history is retained indefinitely while your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@nicheoracle.com.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords (scrypt), and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
NicheOracle is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We'll post the new version here and update the effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
